Mga Lalaki, mag-nursing na!

Tunay na maraming mga lalaki ang kumukuha ng kursong nursing sa kasalukuyan. Isa na ako sa mga kumuha ng kursong nursing. Ito ay “challenge” sa palagay ng karamihan sapagkat hanggang sa ngayon, mas kinikilala ang kursong nursing na isang kurso para sa mga babae. Hindi ako sumasang-ayon sa ganitong palagay dahil bilang isang lalaki marami rin akong nagagawa na hindi nagagawa ng mga babae. Ako ay mas malakas kumpara sa mga babae at dahil dito mas makakatulong ako sa bagbuhat ng mabibigat na pasyente at makakatulong din ako sa bagbubuhat ng mga kagamitan gaya ng mga kama, higaan, “gas tank” at iba pang mga kagamitan sa ospital.

Nasa unang taon pa lamang ako at nag-aaral sa UST (Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas). Napapansin ko na mas dumadami ang kumukuha ngayon ng kursong nursing sa mga lalaki. Labing-dalawa ang mga lalaking na kumukuha ng nursing sa aking seksyon. Dati daw mga lima hanggang pito lamang ang mga lalaking kumukuha ng nursing sa isang seksyon. Sabi din ng aming mga guro, mas dadami pa ang mga kukuha nito sa mga susunod na taon.

Naisipan kong kumuha ng kursong nursing sapagkat ito ay gusto kong maging aking “Pre-Med course.” Ang pagiging isang ganap na Doktor ay gusto kong makamit. Sa aking palagay ang pagkuha ng kursong nursing ay makakatulong sa aking relasyon sa mga magiging pasyente ko.

Minsan, kami ay pumupunta sa iba’t ibang komunidad upang tumulong sa mga gawain at upang maging “exposed” sa ginagawa ng mga nurse. Sa pagtulong sa komunidad, mapagtanto ko na marami ang nangangaialangan ng mga lalaking nurses. Hindi lamang kasi mga babae ang marunong magmahal at magbigay kalinga sa mga tao. Kaming mga lalaki ay nagbibigay din ng kalinga at mapag-aruga din kami.


Mas dadami siguro ang mga lalaking kukuha ng kursong nursing mas lalo na sa darating pang taon dahil ang ating bansa pati narin ang iba’t-ibang bansa ay nangagailangan parin ng mga lalaking nurses. Marami rin naman kasing kakayahan ang mga lalaki sa pagtulong sa mga pasyente. Hindi lamang kalakasan angaming mabibigay sa aming magiging pasyente ngunit, kalinga at pag-aaruga din. Kami ay makikinig sa mga hinaing ng aming pasyente at makakatulong lalo na sa mga lalaking pasyente naming dahil bilang isang lalaki, mas naiintindihan namin sila.

Sa kalahatan, ako ay tunay na masaya sa aking kurso. Hindi ko ito ikinakahiya. Kailangang walang diskriminasyon ang umiral sa mga babae at lalaking nurses sapagkat lahat naman ng tao ay nilikha ng Diyos na pantay-pantay. Hinahamon ko ang iba pang mga lalaki na kumuha ng kursong nursing upang ipakita sa madla na kaya din mg mga lalaki ang gawaing dating pangbabae lamang. Mga lalaki, kailangan natin gamitin ang ating anking lakas at talino upang tumulong sa ating magiging pasyente, mahirap man o mayaman. Mga lalaki, mag-nursing na!

If a live action movie of LaMB was to be produced, who would you like to see play the starring roles of Eve and Jack and why?

For me, Brad Pitt and Mila Jovovich are great for the film LaMB if it would be played by real life people. Brad Pitt’s talent for acting would fit in to Jack’s character. And Mila Jovovich’s background of acting for various teen action movies such as Ultra Violet would make her truly fit for becoming Eve. Brad Pitt also has similar qualities with Jack. It would be cool to see Brad Pit as a scientist in a romance-action drama. A lot of viewers would surely fall in love with him as well! Mila Jovovich’s figure is like Eve’s. Both Eve and Mila Jovovich also have similar facial qualities. Brad Pitt and Mila Jovovich also are compatible for a love team for the movie. They both act really well. Through their acting they will be able to make a lot of viewers relate more to the story. If the actors that would be chosen in case of a LaMB movie would be Brad Pitt and Mila Jovovich, then it would be a great hit. Since These 2 actors are already popular in the Movie industry, then LaMB would surely be known as well. I believe that the most important qualification of a great movie regardless of the actors starring it is the movies story line. I am sure that LaMB has a great story line and it would touch a lot of people worldwide with its jam packed action, romance, thrill and drama! Hopefully, Brad Pitt and Mila Jovovich could star the main roles so that LaMB would. Go LaMB! A wonderful movie full of action thrill romance spice and flavor!

LaMB is an upcoming animated film produced by Animax directed by Ryosuke Tei with the original script written by Carmelo S. J. Juinio, one of the finalists of the 2007 Animax awards Pan-Asia Animation competition (from Philippines), that will be broadcasted across several countries in 2009 in high definition. It is also the first and biggest Animax original production, featuring the French-Canadian band Simple Plan and the American band The Click Five who will be producing two different songs for the opening and ending themes of the movie.

Development

LaMB is Animax's first original production in High Definition, and "promises to revolutionize the entire entertainment experience via how content is delivered and marketed to consumers". Encompassing a series of multi-platform, multi-disciplinary, and multi-media activities that revolves around the launch of the movie on Animax, LaMB aims to redefine the entire entertainment experience for consumers from pre-premiere to post-premiere of the film in a campaign expected to last at least six months. The film is based on a screenplay entitled Laminated Woman: To the Sand Planet Cerra by Carmelo S. J. Juinio, a Filipino entrant of the 2007 Animax Award competition. Its release is considered by Animax to be an example of the industry potential of user generated content. The plot features a futuristic prison system in which prisoners, the titular "LaMB"s, are sealed in personal containment systems known as "laminated suits" and used for labor.

Canadian band Simple Plan's I Can Wait Forever is to be the title track for LaMB, while American band The Click Five's song Summertime is also to be featured in the film. Animax Asia and Peach Blossom Media are to produce music videos for both songs, which have premiered on Animax across Asia and online in December 2008.

Dubbing

LaMB will be dubbed in several languages for several different regions: English for the Southeast Asian region, Mandarin for China, Cantonese for Hong Kong, Hindi for India, and Japanese for Animax Japan. It will be shown across all Animax channels around the world.

Hong Kong actress Josie Ho and Taiwan's Van Ness Wu will voice in English and Cantonese for two of the primary characters in this year's internationally produced animated film LaMB.

Lamination A Great Innovation! ^_^

• Choose a side. Are you for or against lamination?

"All our actions have consequences. If we use lamination for good, then we also will experience it's benefits. But if we use lamination for greed, power and to violate human rights, then a consequence that will lead to humankind's destruction is what we gain."

I am Pro-Lamination only if lamination will be used for the betterment of the environment, community, and the world at large. If lamination will not violate any human rights then of course lamination is a great innovation!

I believe that the problem in Planet Cerra is that their government failed to use lamination to uphold the human rights of its citizens. Although LaMBs are a great help in terms of a good labor force, they still must be treated with value, love and respect because they too like all of us humans have emotions, mind and will. In my opinion Lamination in Cerra was used for evil. Although there maybe thousands of criminals even in our world, it is still unjust to use them as our slaves! This is totally inhuman.

I am strongly against lamination if used for enslavement, but

I am completely for lamination if it is used for the common good and if it does not violate any human right.

To be able to use lamination to help our environment, we should use the strength and speed that the lamination suits can give to clean the air, purify our rivers and seas. The suits will also help us plant trees in a short and this will definitely prevent flash floods. Through planting using the lamination suits, we are able to maximize our time.

We can use lamination to help solve the major problem of hunger in our world today. Lamination suits can be used to plant edible types of plants, fruits and vegetables within a short period of time. This will hopefully help feed our poor brothers and sisters. In this way, we use lamination for the common good. Lamination will help answer to the needs of food and nourshment to our fellow human beings.

We can also use the strength and endurance that the laminated suits will give to help build homes for the needy, repair buildings, damns and roads to prevent danger to human life.

Lamination in summary will help satisfy the needs of the world such as food clothing and shelter. It will answer the problems of global warming in our envirionment as well. It will minimize danger and help make life easier and more convenient.

But we must not abuse the use of lamination. We must not make it an excuse to become lazy. If we use lamination not just for relaxation then our world will truly be a better place for all.

Truly lamination is a great innovation if used in these simple ways. But I am not in favor of the use of lamination to Enslave others and deprive them of their rights. This definitely is Injustice!

We as the people have the choice to use lamination for the betterment of our world or for its destruction. Let us then choose the right way to use lamination which is lamination that is Pro-life and "Pro-common good". WE must not be blinded by what power lamination can bring but instead let us always keep in mind the common good of humanity.

There are unlimited Pro's and Con's regarding lamination. The choice is ours to make. So make the right one. This way, lamination will truly be a great innovation!

I Can Wait Forever--- Unconditional Love

• If you had to choose a theme song for LaMB, which song would you choose, which band would you have perform it and why?

I believe that the song "I Can Wait Forever" by Simple Plan is a very appropriate theme song for LaMB. I Can Wait Forever has a great beat that's really "in" especially among teens. I really love the song and its lyrics definitely fit into the Love story between Eve and Jack.

In my opinion, the song is interpreted this way. (I'll state what my interpretation means per stanza. Enjoy^_^):

When you're sitting there it's hard for me to look away
So I try to find the words that I could say
I know distance doesn't matter but you feel so far away
And I can't lie
Every time I leave my heart turns gray

This stanza tells us how Jack feels every time he sees Eve, and how Eve wants to be with Jack. It shows us that Jack loves Eve a lot, but maybe he's a bit hard up in showing it. I believe the phrase "you feel so far away" tells us that because Eve is laminated he does not fully feel her presence. He can't see her smile, eat talk or laugh. . And although Eve is physically near Jack she still seems distant because she has been laminated. Eve on the other hand also feels far away from Jack because of her condition. Eve does not even have the sense of touch. Her "heart turns gray" meaning she sometimes looses hope when Jack isn't with her. She always wants to see Jack. Clearly, they both want to be together.

This stanza means that Jack and Eve want to always be together. But because of rules in planet Cerra, they don't always stay together.Jack is a scientist and Eve is a LaMB so this means though they might see each other often, they still are far apart since they live differently. They most likely think about each other all the time. Though they are apart because they live separate lives,they are united because of the eternal bond of true love.

There's nothing else that I can do
And I just can't take it
I just can't take it

This part means again that they both will wait forever until their dreams of Eve becoming "de-laminated" will be fulfilled. The "price" in the phrase "The price I gotta pay" is most likely Lamination. Lamination is the punishment of Eve for accidentally killing people. But when Eve thinks about "coming back home to feel Jack's touch," it makes her have hope deep inside of her. She has to be patiently waiting "till that day" when she gets to be freed from lamination.

When you're gone it won't stop bleeding

The chorus means their unending love for each other. It's so heart wrecking for both of them to live with out really talking with each other and it is possible that society will not like their relationship. Even under these circumstances, both Jack and Eve will wait for the time when Eve becomes free from lamination, her prison. Jack would do everything he can to help Eve get "de-laminated", and Eve would be patient in waiting for the moment where she gets freed. They both will wait forever until freedom is accomplished.

I am very convinced that the song by Simple Plan is the best song that fits the love story of Jack and Eve. It's lyrics plus its beat totally match the LaMB story. Besides, most of the viewers of LaMB would be the youth and i'm sure they would be able to relate with this great modern song and its "rockin'" beat.

Hopefully LaMBs' ending would be a happy one so Jack and Eve won't need to wait forever before Eve gets freed from lamination. In the mean time, I'll be waiting for the LaMB movie to come out. Go Simple Plan! Go LaMB!

The Shepherd of LaMBs

• If you were given access to a LaMB, what tasks would you have it perform for you? You will need to refer the LaMB Rules on animax-lamb.com

"All sheep and lambs have gone astray and turned to their own way. As shepherds we must help lead them the right way through setting a good example of love."

It would really be wonderful to have access to a LaMB. Some people might have the LaMB be their personal slave. A slave that would work for them non-stop. Maybe the LaMB would work for them, cook for them, clean their cars dishes and the like. These all are very tempting thoughts of a LaMB to do especially if I'd own one. But I think I'd rather make my LaMB as my true friend, and my equal. LaMBs are humans too!

The Bible shares to us a story about sheep and lambs. Every time the shepherd looses a lamb, he would do everything to find the lamb and take good care of it, nurture it and love it. The shepherd would lead the lamb to the right path.

Jesus is the greatest example of a good shepherd. We too must follow his example in the way we treat LaMBs.

I believe that this story is applicable to the question. Because all LaMBs deserve a second chance. They deserve to be loved, nurtured and cared for by their shepherds.

If given access to a LaMB, I as a shepherd, would show love, care and respect to my LaMB. I would give my LaMB a second chance. I would prefer to have an "Adam" as a LaMB since I relate better to males. Once I have gained my LaMB's trust, I would "delaminate" him. I have read that this is possible and it takes 28 days to finish the delamination process. I would ask my LaMB to teach me things he knows. Hopefully he'd know how to use technology and cars well. If he does, then I'd ask him to teach me the use of different technologies work and how cars are fixed. I'd take my LaMB to places I would go to. and since LaMBs cannot talk or show their expressions, I'd have him communicate to me by writing down his thoughts and emotions on a sheet of paper. The planet Cerra must not abuse LaMBs. So if given a chance to own a LaMB, i would help fight for my LaMBs rights as well. I am strongly convinced that if LaMBs are treated with love and respect, they'd would learn to love and respect their shepherds.

LaMBs are not genies. We can't ask them to grant all our wishes. And unlike genies, LaMBs are humans too. They have emotions that they cannot express. It would be like a living hell to be inside a laminated suit for years and years. that is why as Shepherds, we must treat them with equality and respect.


Let us remember that the meaning of shepherd is to lead and to guide. So if given access to a LaMB, I as the shepherd would guide my LaMB and set an example of love just like Jesus so that respect, friendship and right relationships will prevail.
